Quality Control:

Quality Control serves as one the most important function in pharmaceutical production and control to ascertain the quality of a product before it is released into the market for use.

Quality control is responsible for chemical and microbiological testing of incoming materials, primary packaging components, in-process, finished product etc. to ensure every product produced is of the highest quality. At Barrett Hodgson Pakistan, we have well-equipped analytical laboratory using exacting and sophisticated analytical techniques for precise and accurate analysis. Every product is tested by validated procedures at various stages of production to fulfill the requirements of international standards.

It is mandatory that every employee engaged in Quality Control Department must have relevant education and experience and attend a proper training program to become knowledgeable to perform the assigned functions. Training is an on-going process for all chemists/microbiologist for continuous learning and to keep them updated on new technologies and skills required for delivery of quality products with consistency.

Quality Assurance:

Quality Assurance is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of implementation of applicable standards/procedures, regulatory compliance and assessment of all matters that individually or collectively that could have an impact on the quality of a product. Quality Assurance at BHP is independent and committed to ensure that entire operation of its manufacturing facility meets the required cGMP standards and products manufactured therein conforms to the internationally accepted standard throughout its shelf life.

Quality Assurance department establish strategies for setting up and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that meets the rigors of customer and regulatory requirements. Quality Managements system (QMS) at BHP is based on DRAP, ICH, WHO and PIC/S requirements and corporate guidelines of licensees with the objective of early recognition of problems via a continuous improvement cycle, sustainability and transparency initiatives. It is focused on quality Policy and an objective to meet customer requirements.

BHP believes in that personnel working in Quality Assurance departments should have the proper education, training experience and background necessary to perform their jobs to the perfection.
Supplier Qualification with coordination of supply chain management is key responsibility of QA department. QA has strong focus on Analysis of Data through Annual Product Review (APR), Quality Risk Management, Handling and investigation of complaints, Deviation and Change Control, Self-inspection/Quality Audit and GMP Training Plan to all who are involved in activities related to cGMP.
